Screen printed ties are advantageous since a sample tie can be offered to the customer for approval prior to
actual ordering. This can be done at minimal cost. While most often the design is created in the underknot position, sometimes repeating motifs are incorporated that involve eight motifs being
printed on the anterior surface of the tie up to the point where the knot is tied. These kinds of ties are suited for customers who do not have as much disposable income and also in cases where
the amount of ties needed is less. The minimum number of ties that can be produced is around 25.
The common colors seen in screen printed ties include navy, maroon, bottle green, grey, black or brown. Some
ties have stripes running throughout their length. Sometimes the motif is printed between two sets of stripes maintained in the underknot position. Screen printing allows sudden spurts in
production in case the demand surges. The entire process could take around a week.
